Going home in a sillhouette. Sunset, at the end of a hard working day, it's the time for this old man to go home, to his family for whom he worked hard. His old bike accompanied him wherever he went, although he had to carry it when the bridge was too small to get through. It is not uncommon in Indonesia, especially in villages and remoted places.

This painting consists only two major colours, and white colour as the accent. In making Batik, after the initial wax has been applied, the fabric is ready for the first dye bath. The waxed fabric is immersed in the dye bath of the first color. The amount of time it is left in the bath determines the hue of the color; darker colors require longer periods or numerous immersions. This silhouette needed much time to be a perfect dark.
